DIY Deathly Hallows Tshirt Inspired By Harry Potter

Next up in our We love... series is a DIY to make your own Deathly Hallows tshirt - with bleach!
This is a cheap and easy way to customise clothing, and works really well with the feel of the later Harry Potter films.

Note: If you can work outside for this project then do so, but if not laying down a few bin bags will protect any surfaces.

First, place some cardboard or another bin bag inside of your tshirt so that the bleach doesn't go through to the back. Then, using a fabric marker or some chalk, sketch out your design.

Pour some bleach into a cup, and with a synthetic paintbrush, start painting on your design. Depending on the quality of the fabric and bleach, you will start to see results very quickly. You can then also flick the paintbrush or add droplets of the bleach onto your tshirt - try not to be too heavy handed with this!

Once you're happy with the design, rinse the tshirt in cold water to remove the bleach - for this I put mine under the shower for a few minutes. Then, pop your tshirt into the wash and wash as normal.

Tip: If you have a spray bottle, try loading this with bleach to create a finer splatter effect on your tshirt.

We'd love to hear from you if you give this DIY a go - use the hash tag #eightandsixteen to share your photos with us!
